From May 22 to 23, 2026, the School's Green Environmental Protection Association was invited to participate in the 2026 Science and Technology Week of Shaanxi Province and Xianyang City, bringing to the on-site audience fun chemistry experiment demonstrations and popular science presentations on cutting-edge green research achievements.

During the fun experiment session, the association members conducted four interactive experiments, guiding the audience to perform hands-on operations. This allowed the participants to intuitively experience fascinating scientific phenomena and gain a deeper understanding of the underlying chemical principles. In the research achievement display session, the association gave detailed explanations of four cutting-edge outcomes developed by research teams at the college: the "ultra-sensitive thin-film fluorescence sensor for benzene series" and the "Breath Element membrane-based formaldehyde removal bottle" developed by Academician Fang Yu's team, as well as the "bio-assembled polymer desensitizer" and the "protein-based pesticide reduction and synergy system" developed by Professor Yang Peng's team. The association also introduced their practical applications. These achievements transform laboratory innovations into technological products that benefit people's daily lives, allowing the public to deeply appreciate the beauty of chemistry and the power of science and technology.

The interactive atmosphere on site was lively and enthusiastic. Young participants learned scientific knowledge and enhanced their environmental awareness in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Wang Maozhen, President of the Green Environmental Protection Association, stated that participating in this activity not only honed the students' abilities in science communication and hands-on practice, but also disseminated green concepts and the spirit of science.

This activity featured substantive content and strong interactivity, fully demonstrating the professionalism and service spirit of the Green Environmental Protection Association of Shaanxi Normal University. It effectively put into practice the association's philosophy of "spreading green faith through practice and advancing environmental protection through technology," and made significant contributions to science popularization and ecological conservation.
