报告摘要:The research goal of ourLaboratory of Inorganic Materials Chemistryis to use coordination chemistry to tackle a number of issues including MOFs for H2/CO2 storage and the use of metal agents against Cancers. We are also interested in coordination chemistry of macrocycles, as well as synthesizing new catalysts for olefin polymerization and biodegradable polymer production. This seminar will introduce our recent development of the coordination chemistry toolbox and discuss the new synthetic route to different metal complex and their application. This includes screening them as polymerization catalysis, biodegradable polymer formation via ring opening polymerization of cyclic esters, gas uptake studies, as TB drugs and as anti-cancer agents.
报告人简介:Prof. Redshaw earned his BSc/PhD from University of Newcastle, was a Welch Fellow at the University of Texas, Austin, and a postdoctoral fellow with the late Sir G. Wilkinson at Imperial College, and at the IRC Durham. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hull. Prof. Redshaw's research interests are focused on coordination chemistry and their applications to areas of biomedical and catalysis interest, such as MOFs for H2/CO2storage and the use of metal agents against Cancers, synthesizing new catalysts for olefin polymerization and biodegradable polymer production.
